What I would give to have another semi-truck load of burlwood!
This is the second table I made with the BurlWood Old Man Ray left with me back in 1996…the left side looked so much like an elephant’s head and trunk, thus it’s name… I took it to a local auction and I understand it went home with someone that lives up in the Mt Hood area…
I could not decide decide where to cut this beautiful slab of Juniper for a typical 4′ Bench so I didn’t, I made a 6′ Bench.
Also available now at the Gallery at Alder Creek.
That’s one hefty table there!

My friends Charles and Wanda brought this Juniper Tree to me in hopes of a Floor Lamp… a little time spent with it and this, below is what happened…

This is some old Maple corner slabs I placed on Juniper. One cupped considerably but just adds to it’s unique charm. Also available now at the Gallery at Alder Creek.
